I'm evaluating gLinks for use as a business directory on my website. The ace_PPC plugin caught my eye and I had some questions about it.
  • does it work with current version of gLinks?
  • can people see other bids in that category before they bid? (so they know how much they'd need to bid to be at the top, for instance)
  • how would ace_PPC work if I also have payments turned on in gLinks? Would the listings show ppc/sponsored links first, then paid and then free? Or does it even make sense to do it that way? Can I start with paid/free and then add ace_PPC, or disable paid and add ace_PPC, or...?

ah -- one more question. How does the bidding work with categories/subcategories? Does a sponsored listing in a category also show up as a sponsored listing in all the subcategories? Or are you only bidding on the top-level categories.

Yup, it doesn't have a very specific to GLinks 3.2, but it will work fine :)

 Yes, they can do this from their PPC admin area :)

 It will just make the "paid" listings (i.e PPC listings) show further up in the category.

 I believe (from memory) you can run them in conjunction - i.e PPC, paid listings, then normal.

It will only show up as sponsored listing in the category its in (and also can show as "sponsor" in the search results, if you want.

And, if I order the LinksSQL package + Ultra, does that include installation? Or do I need to order that separately...

It comes with a install of LSQL (GLinks), and I could throw in a free setup of the Ace_PPC plugin for you :)
